Health insurance

Health cover you can actually claim on.

A policy is only worth the claim it pays. We read the waiting periods, sub-limits and room-rent rules before we look at the price — that’s where cover quietly fails.

Key ideas

What decides whether a claim gets paid.

How much cover

Hospital costs decide your cover, not your salary.

One ICU stay in a city hospital can cost several lakhs. We set your cover on what treatment costs where you live.

Hospital bills don’t ask what you earn.

Waiting periods

Buy early, so the waiting ends sooner.

Existing illnesses are usually covered only after two to four years. Buy while you are healthy.

The best time to buy health cover is while you don’t need it.

Room rent limits

A room rent limit can cut your whole claim.

If you take a costlier room than the policy allows, the insurer can cut the whole bill in the same ratio — including doctors’ fees.

Read the fine print before you need to claim.

Base + top-up

A base plan plus a top-up gives more cover.

A smaller base policy plus a super top-up usually gives much more total cover for the same premium.

More cover for the same money is worth an hour of your time.

What we offer

Cover shaped to who is being covered.

The right plan changes with age, city and family stage. A floater that suits a young couple is the wrong answer for elderly parents.

Individual

For one person — usually a young earner with no dependants yet.

Family floater

One cover amount shared by the family. Good value while children are young.

Senior citizen

Separate policies for parents. Waiting periods and co-pay matter more than price here.

Comprehensive

Higher cover that refills after a claim — for city families where one stay can use up a small cover.

Corporate group

For business owners covering employees — usually cheaper per person than individual policies.

Student travel

For children studying abroad, where university cover is often worse value than an Indian policy.

What we check

Five rules that decide whether a claim pays.

  1. 1

    Room-rent limit

A 1% limit on ₹5 lakh cover means a ₹5,000 room. Go above it and the whole bill is cut in proportion.

  2. 2

    Waiting for existing illness

Two to four years, depending on the insurer. If you have a condition today, this matters most.

  3. 3

    Sub-limits and co-pay

Caps on some treatments, or a fixed share you always pay. Common in senior plans and easy to miss.

  4. 4

    Restore and bonus

Whether the cover refills after a claim, and how it grows in the years you don’t claim.

  5. 5

    Hospitals near you

Cashless only helps if the hospitals you would actually go to are in the network.

Insurance partners

Who we place cover with.

Two health insurers, compared on what they exclude and how they settle claims — never on which pays us more.

Questions

The things people actually ask.

Is my employer’s cover enough?
Rarely — and it stops the day the job does, often when it’s hardest to buy new cover. Treat it as extra on top of a policy you own.
Should my parents be on our floater?
Usually not. A floater shares one cover amount, and older parents claim more often. Separate senior-citizen policies almost always work out better.
What if I already have a condition?
Declare it — every one. The waiting period is manageable; a claim rejected for hiding something is not.
Can I move (port) my existing policy?
Yes. If you port at renewal within the allowed window, you keep the waiting-period credit you have built up. We handle the paperwork.
Section 80D. Up to ₹25,000 for yourself and your family, and a further ₹50,000 for senior-citizen parents. One of the few deductions we push clients to use in full.
