Founder & Managing Director
From technology to financial empowerment.
An Electronics & Communication engineer who spent his career in software, then turned a long-standing interest in personal finance into a profession — and built a firm around it.
Mr. Santosh Ishwar Revanaki is an Electronics & Communication engineer and the Founder & Managing Director of SIR Financial Services Private Limited. With over fourteen years of professional experience in the information technology industry, followed by his transition into financial services, he brings together technology-driven thinking, professional discipline, and a strong commitment to financial literacy.
A graduate of Basaveshwar Engineering College, Bagalkot, he began his professional journey in 2007 after being selected by Persistent Systems during his final year of engineering. The IT career matters more than it sounds: it is where the habit of documenting, testing assumptions and reviewing on a schedule came from.
Investor awareness

The founder’s view
Time, not timing.
“Financial success is not created by chasing returns. It is created by understanding your goals, making informed decisions, managing risk and staying committed to the journey.”
Mr. Santosh Ishwar Revanaki · Founder & Managing Director
The long view
Financial literacy is the foundation of financial independence. Every household has its own aspirations, responsibilities, risk capacity and timelines, so decisions should follow personal goals rather than market noise, emotion or a trend that will have passed by the next quarter.
A plan written for the next twenty years is judged on whether it still fits after five, not on how it performed last month.
What the years do
Time, not timing, does most of the work. A modest amount invested every month through good years and bad usually ends up ahead of a larger amount invested in bursts of confidence, because the hardest part of investing is staying invested when the market gives you every reason not to.
Returns are never guaranteed and markets fall as well as rise; what a household can control is how much it saves, how long it stays and how much risk it carries.
What we are building
A practice meant to outlast any one product cycle: written plans, reviews on a schedule, and a record a family can follow. The aim is that a household understands before it invests, plans before it acts, and has someone to call when the market tests that resolve.
Over the next decade that means serving more families across India, training the people who will guide them, and keeping the advice the same whether the market is generous or unkind.
Vision
To enable, encourage and empower.
“To enable, encourage and empower individuals and families with financial literacy and professional guidance to achieve their life’s financial goals.”
Enable
Make financial concepts simple, accessible and understandable for everyone.
Encourage
Build the confidence and discipline required to start, continue and stay committed to financial planning.
Empower
Help individuals make informed financial decisions with appropriate professional guidance.
Philosophy
Don’t just invest money. Invest with purpose.
Every investment should have a purpose, a goal, an appropriate time horizon and a well-understood level of risk.
- Earning
- Saving
- Investing
- Guidance
- Planning
- Protecting
- Achieving goals
Because financial planning is not simply about building wealth — it is about building a financially secure and meaningful life.

A message from the founder
Knowledge creates confidence.
“My journey from engineering to IT, and from IT to financial services, has taught me one important lesson — knowledge creates confidence, and the right guidance can turn decisions into meaningful outcomes.
At SIR Financial Services Pvt. Ltd., our objective is not merely to help people invest. It is to help them understand why they invest, what they are investing for, how much risk they should take, and how their financial decisions can support their life’s goals.
We aspire to build a culture where financial literacy becomes part of every family’s journey, and professional guidance becomes a trusted companion in achieving financial goals.”

The certification
What QPFP® actually took.
Selling a financial product in India requires a distribution licence and little else — AMFI’s ARN examination is a single day. Network FP’s Qualified Personal Finance Professional programme will not admit you without a degree and an existing industry examination, and then runs three level examinations and a final across a hundred hours of teaching. Mr. Santosh completed Levels I, II and III and was certified on 29 November 2025.

Level I — Personal Finance Foundations
The profession itself, the client relationship, cashflow and debt, risk, asset classes, and the regulation that governs all of it.

Level II — Personal Finance Solutions
Organising a financial life around goals — emergency funds, protection, education, retirement — and building the plan that connects them.

Level III — Personal Finance Products
The instruments themselves, judged on structure, cost and tax rather than on the brochure they arrive in.

- 3 + 1examinations
Three level examinations — Foundations, Solutions, Products — then a final mock and a final examination across all of it.
- 1,000+scenario questions
Not definitions to recall. Situations of the kind that arrive in a first meeting, worked before the examination rather than on a client.
- 100+hours of training
Cohort-based and live, spread over six months, with recordings rather than instead of the sessions.
- 30+practitioner trainers
Taught by people who run practices, which is why the syllabus covers what to do as well as what is true.
- Entryis already gated
A graduate degree plus an existing industry examination — NISM, IRDAI, CFP or CFA — before the programme will take you.
- Renewalevery year
The designation is subject to continuing education and renewal. It lapses if the work stops, which is rather the point of it.
Programme structure as published by Network FP, the awarding body. The designation is subject to continuing education and annual renewal, and any certificate’s validity can be checked on the Network FP members register.
